Pre-installation - what happens
 

Seven steps to satellite installation

Step Process Timescales
One You will be sent the following information for consideration and agreement:
  • BT 'Sale of Goods' Terms and Conditions
  • BT Business Satellite Terms and Conditions
  • A Customer Requirements Form
Same day
Two Once you have read the documentation and agreed the following:
  • Product choice
  • Pricing
  • All terms and conditions

Please return the signed documentation to the BT Sales Agent

Customer driven
Three Having received all the documentation, the BT Sales Agent will then process your order
Same day as documentation returned

Four Our Order Management Team will contact you to finalise your details and investigate any requirements for Planning Permission.

A 'welcome letter' will be sent to you with username details.

Two working days
Five A request will be made to the Radiocommunications Agency (RA) for the approval of a licence to operate the satellite service at your site. The RA will respond with either an Approve, Deferred or Rejected status. If Deferred or Rejected, you will be informed by letter that the service cannot be provided.

At the same time, if required you will be able to apply for planning permission



Three working days




Up to three months for planning permission

Six On approval of the RA licence (and confirmation that Planning Permission is now required or has been granted) your order details will be sent to a service delivery agent who will contact you and arange the installation appointment. Installations can be carried out six days per week from Monday to Saturday with AM or PM slots available.

Three working days
Seven Your site will be visited by two service delivery installers on the date of installation. 

The service will be
installed, commissioned and activated.

10-15 working days

Five-hour install time
